Serious Car Accident Reported On I-495 In Boxborough A serious car accident was reported on I-495 North in Boxborough just before 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, Boxborough Fire said on Twitter. Engine 64, A1, Engine 63 are on Route 495 North, North of Route 111 for a serious MVA. Medflight is enroute and the highway is closed.@BoxboroughPD — Boxborough Fire Department (@BoxboroughFire) September 9, 2022 The accident caused the entire highway to be closed, Boxborough fire said. Woman With A 'Big Heart' ID'd As Victim Of Fatal Car Crash In Central Mass Authorities have identified a 62-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car in central Massachusetts as Debra Lavallee of Brimfield.  Lavallee was killed in a crash that happened in the area of 709 Main Street in Sturbridge around 1:20 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, according to Sturbridge Police. Initial investigation revealed that a car was going east on Main Street when it veered into the breakdown lane and hit Lavallee, police said. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene. The 81-year-old man and 60-year-old woman were killed in the crash that occurred on Northampton Road (Route 10) near the Burger King in Easthampton, the office reports.
