Central Mass Man, 31, Shot and Killed In Worcester; 28-Year-Old Charged: Police
A 31-year-old man who was shot in Worcester Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, has died, authorities said. Officials charged a 28-year-old Westborough man with his death. Police responded to a call for medical help just before 8:30 a.m. at 101 Highland St. near Honey Farms and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, Worcester authorities said. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors were not able to save him. Officials did not release the man's name. Men Charged With 'Abducting' Baby, Mother From South Mass Home: Police
A woman who was previously said to be abducted along with her child, prompting an Amber Alert, told authorities she was never actually in any danger. Massachusetts State Police activated an Amber Alert after Hannah Benson and her six-month-old son Grayson were taken from their Dartmouth home on Thursday, Dec. 1, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Police in Florida arrested the president of the Pittsfield Federation of School Employees union earlier this month after she allegedly shoved a sheriff's deputy while drunk at a concert, authorities said. A 23-year-old man was charged with assault after police said he stabbed a man at a bus station in Connecticut. Troopers in Hartford County received a report of an assault at the downtown New Britain Fastrak Station at about 2:20 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, Connecticut State Police said. A woman and man are facing a slew of charges after police in Western Massachusetts busted them for carrying numerous bags of illegal substances and several weapons, authorities said. Police responded to a gun call on Mapledell Street in Springfield around 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, Springfield Police report. A 26-year-old woman from Western Massachusetts is being held without bail after pleading innocent to murdering her grandmother on Halloween, authorities said. Kelsie Cote, of North Adams, was arrested for the murder of 74-year-old Doris Cote on Friday, Nov. 4, the Berkshire District Attorney's Office reports. A Connecticut teen has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a parent with a pocket knife. The incident took place in Litchfield County around 10:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 24 on Pratt Street. A 29-year-old Boston man faces civil rights and assault charges after authorities said he attacked a caused a man head injuries during a beating earlier this month at an MBTA station. Aiyoub Alsallak is accused of shouting homophobic slurs at two men at Andrew Station platform on Sept. 5 just before 9 p.m., the Suffolk County District Attorney's office said. The Regal Cinema in Westborough may have closed down, but one Shrewsbury man put on a performance worthy of an action movie in the parking lot earlier this week.
