Erika Newvill, of Haverhill, was hit by a Honda CR-V near 301 Merrimack St. (Route 110) around 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11. The driver remained at the scene, Methuen police said.
Paramedics rushed Newvill to Lawrence General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, authorities said.
Loved ones gathered for a vigil at the crash site Wednesday, and social media has been flooded with memorials. She leaves behind two children and a partner, according to her Facebook profile.
"My heart is incredibly heavy today. Erika Newvill, you will be missed," Courtney Venditti posted. "You always had such a beautiful energy about you, always had a great story to tell, a beautiful family, and I have always thanked you for coming and supporting me and letting me do your hair."
Funeral arrangements have not been announced as of Thursday afternoon.
