Man, 72, On Mobility Scooter Hit, Killed In Western Mass Truck Crash A 72-year-old Berkshire County man was killed on Tuesday night, May 28, when a car crashed into his mobility scooter as he crossed the street, authorities said.  David Frye, of Pittsfield, was struck by a 2014 Dodge Ram truck around 7 p.m. as he was on Second Street in Pittsfield, Pittsfield police said.  The truck's driver, from North Adams, turned onto Second Street from Wallace Place when she struck Frye.
