Mass. Man Caught Watching Child Porn On Plane, Arranging To Have Sex With 5-Year-Old: DA
A 74-year-old passenger aboard a JetBlue flight was caught by someone sitting near him exchanging child sexual abuse material of children as young as toddlers and having text conversations on how much it would cost to rape them, authorities said. Jed Cohen, 74, of Dartmouth, is charged with possession of child pornography, disseminating photographs of sexual or intimate parts of a child, and paying for sexual conduct with a child under 18, the Suffolk County District Attorney said. Stoughton Police Investigating Shooting
A 31-year-old man was shot in the leg late Wednesday night, and police are asking for the public's help identifying the shooter. Police were called to 40 Stagecoach Road around 10 p.m. where they met a man sitting on the ground with a gunshot wound, Stoughton police said. The man was not a Stoughton resident. Paramedics took him to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community. Detectives ask anyone with information on the shooting to contact investigators at 781-344-2424.

Woman Set Fire At Maynard Home That Injured Firefighter: Police
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested after police say she intentionally started a house fire in Maynard last month. Anabelle Dentino, of Maynard, is charged with arson of a dwelling and causing injury to a firefighter, Maynard police said. She is being held without bail. Firefighters were called to 1 Little Road in Maynard to reports of a structure fire. While battling the blaze, a firefighter suffered minor injuries. An axe-wielding man who said he could take whatever he wanted from a Boston grocery store made good on his threats as he ran off with some juice and bottled water, authorities said. Investigators ID Cause Of Fatal Revere Fire
The fire that killed an 80-year-old man in Revere on Monday, July 15, was likely sparked by a cigarette, investigators said. Firefighters were called to the 104 Patriot Parkway home at about 5:45 a.m. to find heavy smoke pouring out of the house. Crews were told the elderly man had limited mobility and was trapped inside, the state Fire Marshal's Office said. A former Weymouth police officer who was caught on video camera beating a handcuffed suspect will not serve any jail time, federal authorities said. Police in Holbrook are investigating a triple stabbing that happened early Saturday morning, July 13. Officers received a 911 call around 3:30 a.m. about the attack near 166 Longmeadow Drive, Holbrook police said. When they arrived, police found two men and one woman suffering from stab wounds. Motorcyclist Killed In Groton Crash ID'd As 27-Year-Old Man
Police have identified the 27-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a head-on crash earlier this week in Groton. Cody Trudel, of Ayer, died after his bike was struck head-on along Boston Road just after 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. Investigators believe the driver of an oncoming car in the westbound lane veered into his lane. The 20-year-old Townsend driver of that car remained at the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the crash. No charges had been filed as of Friday afternoon.
