Newly Minted Millionaire: Bridgewater Woman Lands Major Payday A Bridgewater woman landed a seven-figure jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery this week.  Beverly Colton won the $1 million prize in the lottery's “$4,000,000 Platinum Jackpot,” a $10 scratch-off ticket.  Related: Winthrop Man Lands $1 Million Lottery Payday She chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  Colton bought the ticket at Roche Bros at 233 Broad St. in Bridgewater. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

The winner won by playing the "Lifetime Millions" game, which has two $1 million grand prizes remaining in circulation.
