Body Found On I-90 By DOT Employees In Rensselaer: Police New York State Department of Transportation employees made a horrifying discovery while working near I-90 in Rensseleaer, prompting a police investigation. The employees found a body at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, near the Patroon Island Bridge near the eastbound lane in Rensselaer, said Trooper Jennifer Alvarez. The right lane was closed for approximately 1.5 hours for investigation purposes and has since been reopened.  The investigation is ongoing. There is no perceived public threat at this time.

Fire Damages Orangeburg Home Firefighters from six Hudson Valley fire departments saved a home after an automatic fire alarm sent help to the scene. The Rockland County blaze occurred in Orangeburg, at 96 Old Orangeburg Road, on Monday, Dec. 2. Orangeburg Police Capt. Michael Shannon said the fire was initially triggered by an automatic alarm.
