$1M Lottery Ticket Sold In Mattapan It's a very happy day for one Bay Stater after they won $1 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery.  The Bonus 100X Trust of Braintree collected the check on Thursday, July 25, after winning the prize on the $10 scratch-off game "Bonus 100X."  The winner chose to take the lump-sum payment of $650,000 rather than the annuity.  They bought the ticket at Premier Petrol, 82 River St. in Mattapan. Fire That Killed 1, Displaced 25 In Braintree Under Investigation Authorities are investigating what sparked an apartment fire Thursday night, May 23, that killed one person and displaced 25 others in Braintree.  Firefighters were called to 26 McCusker Drive just before 10:30 p.m. to find smoke pouring out of a first-floor apartment, the state Fire Marshal's Office said. Fire crews were able to contain the fire to that one unit.  The person inside was found dead.
