Man In Wheelchair Hit, Killed In Western Mass Crash A 76-year-old, wheelchair-bound man was killed over the weekend after being hit in a Hampden County crosswalk.  The man, who was not identified, was crossing Kellog Street in Westfield around 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8. when he was struck, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.  Paramedics took him to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died of his wounds, police said.  The driver of the car remained at the scene.  The crash remains under investigation.

Western Mass. Man ID'd As Victim In Motorcycle Crash A 70-year-old man was killed over the weekend after crashing with a truck in Hampshire County, authorities said. James Lis, of Three Rivers, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, in a crash in Hadley, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said on Monday.  Lis was driving his motorcycle north on East Street when he crashed with a truck driving south that was turning into a driveway around noon.  Paramedics took him to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died.  Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.

Teen Accused Of Killing Man In Western Mass While Out On Bail: DA The 19-year-old accused of killing a 38-year-old Hampden County man last month was out on bail at the time of the fatal shooting, authorities said.  Luis Rodriguez, of Chicopee, is charged with murder in the July 9 slaying of Dexter Ortiz, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said. Teen ID'd As Person Killed In Springfield Shooting Police have identified the 19-year-old man who died after being shot on Sunday, July 14, authorities said.  Damontey Williams, of Springfield, was found shot just before 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Massasoit Street after a ShotSpotter alert sent police to the area, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.  Responders rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he died of his wounds.  Springfield police are investigating the shooting. Authorities ask anyone with information on the killing to contact detectives at 413-787-6355.
