Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has recommended brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez, who spent their childhoods in New Jersey and New York, be resentenced after spending decades in prison for the shotgun murder of their parents in their Beverly Hills mansion. State Trooper Michael Proctor has been suspended without pay for the duration of a duty hearing to determine if he mishandled the investigation into Karen Read, a Mansfield woman accused of killing her Boston police officer boyfriend, officials said. A Haverhill man who viciously beat an 82-year-old man with a lamp before stabbing him to death will spend the rest of his life in prison, a judge ruled on Friday, June 21. Leedell Graham, age 53, was convicted on Tuesday, June 18, of the 2019 murder of Patsy “Pat” Schena at Scena's home in Groveland, the Essex County District Attorney said.
