Warning Issued For Nationwide Automated 'Sextortion' Scam: Here's What To Know Authorities are warning the public of a nationwide automated scam in which scammers use people’s email addresses to coerce payments by intimidating them with threats of embarrassment. Victims of the "sextortion" scheme, usually children and teens, are manipulated to photograph or video material for extortionists. Child Found Dead In Pool Of Home In Region A boy who was found unresponsive in the pool of a Connecticut home has died. The incident occurred in Litchfield County around noon on Tuesday, Aug. 20, on Magnolia Lane in the Terryville section of Plymouth. According to Edman Austin of the Plymouth Police, police, fire, and EMS found the child unresponsive in the pool and immediately began treatment. The boy, whose age was not provided, was transported to Bristol Hospital for treatment.
