Newly Identified Chemical In Drinking Water Could Be Toxic, Study Says A newly discovered compound in drinking water has raised questions about its potential health risks.  The chemical, known as chloronitramide anion (Cl–N–NO₂⁻), was found in all samples from 10 US drinking water systems that use chloramines, according to a study published in the journal Science on Thursday, Nov. 21. The research, led by Julian L. Ronald Carty Had Gone Boating With 2 Men On Monday, June 3 A 42-year-old Attleboro man has been identified as the person that police found drowned at a water reservoir in Bristol County on Monday, June 3, authorities said.  Ronald Carty was reported missing around 7:30 p.m. at the Norton Reservoir after he dove into the water and did not resurface, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said.  He'd been boating with two other men for about an hour when he jumped into the water. They attempted to rescue him but couldn't, the DA's office said.  First responders pulled him from the water around 11 p.m., officials said. …
