Authorities ID 18-Year-Old Who Drowned In North Shore Quarry Authorities have identified the 18-year-old who drowned in a prohibited swimming area in Gloucester as Fabieri Fabert of Everett, the Essex County District Attorney's Office said. 18-Year-Old Drowns In Prohibited Swimming Area On North Shore: Police An 18-year-old has died after drowning in a prohibited swimming area in Gloucester, authorities said. Multiple rescue crews responded to the reported drowning at Vernon's Pit around 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, Massachusetts State Police said.  It was there that the man was swimming with his friends and even jumped from a high rock into the water in the quarry, police said.
