Carlos Vasquez, of Bennington, was crossing the street from the Burger King near the Essex Street exit when he was hit just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, Massachusetts State Police said.  Vasquez was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries where he later died, police said.
