Strike Ends, Students Return To Woburn Schools Woburn teachers are heading back to the classroom with a little more cash in their paychecks after reaching a tentative agreement between with the school committee and Mayor Scott Galvin. The Woburn Teacher's Association reached the agreement on Sunday, Feb. 5, just in time to return to school on Monday, Feb. 6. The strike lasted a week, beginning on Monday, Jan. 30, with demands for increased pay, smaller class sizes, and compensation for all workdays.
