New Owners Buying New England Amusement Parks Among Dozen Northeast Attractions
A major shake-up in the amusement park industry is bringing some of the Northeast's most beloved attractions under new ownership. Herschend Family Entertainment, which owns other theme parks like Dollywood and Silver Dollar City, is acquiring all of Palace Entertainment's properties, Herschend said in a news release on Tuesday, Mar. 18. Flatbread Company Puts Out Fire On Bedford Location After 18 Years Of Service
A pizza restaurant chain that used to heavily populate the Greater Boston Area now has no traces to the region. Financial troubles have caused Flatbread Company to close their Bedford location after 18 years in business on Monday, June 26, according to the restaurant's website. The company said the location is "no longer viable" as the restaurant industry has drastically changed. Middleton Ex-Navy Police Officer Threatened His Ex-Wife, Her Mom: Feds
A 30-year-old former Navy police officer faces up to 15 years in prison after federal investigators said he threatened to hurt his ex-wife and her mother. His threats allegedly continued after officials put him in jail. Luis De Leon is charged with three counts of making threatening communications while he worked as Naval police at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard, the US Attorney's Office for Massachusetts said.
