MSNBC Gets New Name, Drops Peacock Logo: Here's Why
MSNBC will undergo its biggest identity shift in decades, as the cable TV network splits from NBC News. The channel will be known as "MS Now" by the end of 2025, CNBC reported. MS Now's name will be an abbreviation for "My Source News Opinion World." MSNBC and CNBC are expected to be spun off into a new media company called Versant as Comcast sheds NBCUniversal's cable channels. The separation means MS Now and CNBC will be run as completely separate news operations from NBC News. Former MLB Pitcher Dan Serafini Convicted Of Killing Father-In-Law Over $1.3M Dispute
Former MLB pitcher Dan Serafini has been convicted of murdering his father-in-law and attempting to kill his mother-in-law over a reported financial dispute. Serafini, 51, who spent parts of nine seasons bouncing around multiple Major League teams, was found guilty in the 2021 shooting of Robert Gary Sphor, 70, and his wife, Wendy Wood, 68, according to the Placer County District Attorney's Office. Watertown Bar Taffer's Tavern Has Closed
The Watertown bar Taffer's Tavern has closed less than 18 months after it opened. Taffer's Tavern at Arsenal Yards closed its doors for good over the weekend, reports said. Jon Taffer, host of “Bar Rescue” on the Paramount+ Network, franchised the location. Calls to the 541 Arsenal St. bar go to a voicemail confirming the closure.
