Taunton Mother Of 2 ID'd As Person Killed In Crash, Community Rallies To Help Grieving Family
A mother and grandmother described as "adventurous" was killed in a single-car crash, officials say. Pamela Stone, age 54, of Taunton, died on Friday, July 7 as a result of injuries from a car crash in the area of Needham and Main Streets in Norfolk, according to the Norfolk Police Department. The crash involved a sedan smashing into a tree. Stone was transported to a local hospital where she later died. Stone was the youngest daughter of three children, according to her obituary. Man Locked Himself In Car For Hours In Norfolk During Mental-Health Crisis: Police
Police in Norfolk were called in to help talk down a man who had barricaded himself in his car this week during a mental-health crisis, authorities said. Specially trained Norfolk police officers and a negotiator were requested after the man in distress locked himself in his vehicle on Rockwood Road just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, police said. Suspect In Custody For Virginia Police-Involved Shooting That Left Officer Injured
A man has been apprehended for a shooting that left a police officer in Virginia injured, authorities announced. Ali Moore, 20, is facing multiple charges after shooting an officer shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31 during an incident in the 2700 block of Vincent Avenue. On the night of the shooting, police said that officers were on patrol on Vincent Avenue when they spotted two suspicious vehicles stopped in the middle of the road.
