A missing child was found dead in a body of water in Tewksbury, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marion Ryan. Anna Mburu, a 7-year-old Lowell resident, went missing after being last seen on Sunday, July 9 between 2 and 3 p.m. in the area of East Merrimack Street in the Belvidere neighborhood in Lowell, according to the Lowell Police Department. ) Police ID Man Who Drowned While Fishing In Haverhill River
The body of a missing canoer who was pulled from the Merrimack River this weekend has been identified, according to authorities. Michael Ventura, of Apple Street in Haverhill, was fishing in the Merrimack River about 75 feet from the shore of 44 Margin Street on Sunday, June 24, the Essex County District Attorney said. Witnesses said he fell into the water and never surfaced. Witnesses tried to reach Ventura but were unable to save his life. A 24-year-old man who was reported missing from Methuen was found dead in the Merrimack River in Haverhill, authorities said.
