Lowell Man Gunned Down 24-Year-Old Inside Car, Hid Inside His Home: Police A 20-year-old Lowell man is facing a murder charge after authorities say he fatally shot another man during a confrontation that ended in tragedy on Middlesex Street. Bravindah Mawanda has been charged with the killing of 24-year-old Nikhl Israni, also of Lowell, according to Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Greg Hudon.
