FDA Recalls Oysters After Norovirus Outbreak The US Food and Drug Administration has recalled oysters grown and harvested in Connecticut following an outbreak of norovirus. In a notice on Thursday, March 14, the FDA said the outbreak was caused by oysters sold by Norwalk-based Norm Bloom and Son harvested in February. Although the FDA did not give many how many people were sickened, they did reveal the contaminated batch was associated with an outbreak in Minnesota. 2 $100,000 Lottery Tickets Sold In Mass Two people in Massachusetts had a very profitable holiday weekend after they won $100,000 in the state lottery.  The tickets were sold on Sunday, Feb. 18, at Five Corner Mini Mart in Dorchester and New Inkwell News in Greenfield. Both winners won playing the Mass Cash drawing and correctly guessing all five numbers correct in the daily drawing.  The winning numbers on Sunday were: 6, 15, 22, 28, 32. Healey Says Residents Should Prepare Emergency Kits The National Weather Service said the winter storm expected to batter much of the Northeast on Tuesday, Feb. 13, has taken a "southward shift," which could mean less snow for Massachusetts. Gov. Maura Healey has asked residents to prepare and take precautions anyway.  According to the latest prediction models, the northwestern portion of the state is now expected to receive to up 3 inches of snow, with a band running from the west through Springfield and up to Lawrence getting as much as 6 inches, according to forecasters. Worcester and Boston could receive 6 to 8 inches. …
