Despite winning a massive prize from the Massachusetts State Lottery, a diesel mechanic from Southeast Massachusetts doesn't plan on using his winnings to take time off, but rather pay it forward. Residents jumped out of windows to escape the fire that has now been revealed to have caused the death of two people, according to officials. A 31-apartment building located at 1305 Acushnet Avenue caught fire at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, according to the New Bedford Fire Department. Medford Man Held Without Bail On Charges He Killed Woman While Mistakenly Running From Cops: DA
The Bristol District Attorney says a 34-year-old Medford man is responsible for the death of a woman who was killed when he crashed into her as he tried to escape police. Though, officers say they did not chase him. 26-Year-Old Shot To Death In Crowded Tauton Apartment: DA
Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old Lakeville woman who was shot and killed in a crowded Taunton apartment late Wednesday, Sept. 21, authorities said. Colby Dowling was in the 52 Tremont Street apartment with several other people around 11 p.m. when she was shot, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said. Police received a 911 call about the shooting, but when they arrived, Dowling was already dead, officials said. Taunton police are investigating the incident and are not releasing any other information.
