Man Who Gunned Down Ex-Springfield Mom, Infant In. CT Drive-By Busted In Puerto Rico: Police A 23-year-old man accused of fatally shooting a young mother and her infant son in Connecticut was arrested in Puerto Rico, authorities announced. Lance Morales, the suspect in the drive-by shooting that killed 20-year-old Jessiah Mercado and her 4-month-old son, Messiah Diaz, was taken into custody Saturday, Nov. 23, by the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Marshal Service said.  He was found at a home in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, and is being held on a $3 million bond. Fatal Christmas Morning Crash: Woman ID'd As Victim In 2-Vehicle Collision On CT Roadway A New York woman was killed in a Christmas morning crash in Connecticut. It happened around 9:05 a.m. in Middlesex County on the I-91 northbound Exit 20 onramp in Middletown. A 2007 Toyota Corolla veered into the center lane and hit a 2019 Chrysler 300, according to state police. Both vehicles rolled into the grassy median. Pinned Under Tractor-Trailer: Man Dead After Crash On I-84, CT State Police Say Police are looking for witnesses after a man was pinned under a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 in Connecticut and killed.  The accident happened on Monday, Jan. 23 around 1:20 p.m. just before Exit 69 on I-84 eastbound in Tolland, according to state police.  According to authorities, a Mercedes sedan driven by the man who was killed had been traveling in front of a tractor-trailer in the right lane when it lost control in the snowy conditions. Man, Woman -- Both Age 25 -- Killed In Wrong-Way CT Crash A 25-year-old man and woman were killed after crashing into another vehicle while allegedly driving in the wrong direction on I-91. The crash took place in Hartford County around 12:35 a.m., Friday, Sept. 23 in Windsor. According to the Connecticut State Police, A Nissan Altima was traveling northbound on I-91 in Windsor, when the vehicle ran head-on into a Kawaski Tracer.
