Ford announced that it would recall over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick vehicles because of an issue with the battery that can cause the drive train to lose power and increase the likelihood of wrecks. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released a report on Friday, April 12, saying sensors in the car could fail to notice a change in the battery's power. A 75-year-old passenger was killed in a rear-end collision on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Troopers responded to the crash at 2:32 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26 on the turnpike southbound in Chesterfield Township, Burlington County. Alyssa Fluet, age 21, of Methuen, died on Monday, Aug. 14 in Long Island, Maine, while trying to stop a 1998 Ford Ranger that was rolling from a parked position, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
