Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday morning, June 21, between a woman on a bicycle and a box truck, authorities said. The 24-year-old woman was hit around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Hampshire Street and Portland Street, the Middlesex District Attorney said. Pedestrian Dies In Hit-Run Crash Near Encore Boston Harbor Casino
A pedestrian died after a hit-and-run crash in Charlestown on Monday morning, Dec. 18, and police are now searching for the driver. The crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. on Alford and Dexter streets, according to posts by the Boston police. Two people have died in an overnight crash in Central Massachusetts that originally started out as a road rage incident, authorities said. A man told police that he and another man were almost hit by a Toyota Highlander while walking near 97 Water Street around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, Worcester Police said on Facebook. The same man waved his arms out of outrage, prompting the driver of the Toyota to get out and point a gun at the pedestrian. Police ID 69-Year-Old Woman Killed By Gardner DPS Truck
Authorities have identified the 69-year-old grandmother who was hit and killed by a Department of Public Works truck on Monday morning. Paula MacKenzie, of Gardner, was hit as she walked along Coleman Street at 8:30 a.m., the Worcester District Attorney's Office said. State police are working with Worcester County officials in Gardner to investigate the cause of the crash. No charges have been filed. MacKenzie was a mother of a son and daughter and a grandmother of twin granddaughters, Facebook posts said. She is also survived by her husband of 32 years.

An older couple from Belmont were the victims of a recent fatal crash in Boston, authorities said. The 85-year-old man and 83-year-old woman died from the crash that occurred on Soldiers Field Road in Boston around 7:15 p.m. on Monday, June 27, Massachusetts State Police said.
