A GoFundMe for a Massachusetts State Trooper who died unexpectedly last month has raised more than $68,000 for his wife and two young children. The fundraiser hopes to generate $75,000 to help them as they transition. Sgt. Gregory Furtado, a State Trooper since 2006, died overnight on Nov. 30. The cause of his death has not been released. A 41-year-old Massachusetts State Police sergeant died unexpectedly, the police force announced on Saturday, Dec. 2. Sgt. Gregory Furtado joined the agency after graduating from the academy in 2006. Second Man Busted In Masked Armed Robbery Of Martha's Vineyard Bank: DA
Police made another arrest in connection with a daring morning robbery on Martha's Vineyard where a three-person team of burglars forced their way inside a bank and tied up the staff, authorities said. Omar Johnson, 39, of Canterbury, NH, faces charges of masked armed robbery with a firearm and conspiracy to commit armed robbery with a gun, the Cape and Island District Attorney's Office said in a news release.
