Woman Busted On Animal Cruelty Charges After She's Caught Kicking, Beating Dog In Boston: Cops
A 26-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday night, Nov. 21, after several people saw her beating up her dog near Boston Common, according to police. Jasmine Velasquez was busted after officers heard a crying dog, and a witness approached them to say they saw a woman beating the animal near 131 Tremont Street shortly after 8:30 p.m., Boston police said. Police said they saw the woman kicking her dog as they came up to her. Dorchester Woman Pleads Not Guilty In Fatal Stabbing Outside MBTA Station: DA
A 30-year-old woman arrested over the weekend and charged in a fatal stabbing outside of a south Boston MBTA station in July has pleaded not guilty, authorities said. Alyssa Partsch, 30, was ordered held without bail after she was charged with murder in the slaying of Jazreanna Sheppard-Gonzalez, 21, of South Boston on July 20, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. The child of a Massachusetts State Representative was among two people arrested at a demonstration that echoed the message of another protest decrying the shooting of an activist by police in the South. Police responded to a call about a protest at the Parkman Bandstand Monument in the Boston Common on Tremont Street around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, according to the Boston Police Department. Man Arrested For Boston Common Daylight Stabbing Threatens To Kill Officers
A Boston man is being held without bail after a daylight stabbing in Boston Common and attacking multiple police officers over the weekend, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said. Tjay Carter, age 39, allegedly stabbed another man around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, Hayden said. The victim was found bleeding not too far away on Tremont Street and is expected to survive.
