Thieves Swipe $30K In Luxury Handbags, Shoes In Boston
A luxury fashion boutique in Boston’s Back Bay lost more than $30,000 after two thieves broke into the store and ran off with several items. The thieves are seen on security video breaking into the Valentino boutique at 47 Newbury St. shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, according to the Boston police. Fire At Tufts Medical Center Temporarily Suspends Orange Line Service: MBTA
Orange Line service was temporarily suspended between North Station and Back Bay after a fire reportedly broke out on Wednesday afternoon, June 28. A train reported flames within the track area in front of the train as it was pulling into Tufts Medical Center around 11:50 a.m., an MBTA spokesperson tells Daily Voice. Boston Fire responded to the scene to put out the fire while power was cut to the third rail, they added. Here's How You Can Get Around Boston During The 30-Day Orange Line Shutdown
The MBTA released information for riders about navigating Boston in preparation of a historic 30-day shutdown of the Orange Line. The shutdown from Oak Grove to Forest Hills will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 and end on Monday, Sept. 19, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
