Aspiring NFL Player, Former Merrimack College Warrior Killed In Maryland Crash
An aspiring NFL player who once played for a Division I college in Eastern Massachusetts has died following a car crash in Maryland, according to his family. Daniel Elisha Worthy, a former defensive lineman for the Merrimack College Warriors, was killed in the crash that happened in Hagerstown, MD on Wednesday, June 21. Worthy, who studied Criminology at Merrimack in North Andover, was among two 22-year-olds in a 2007 BMW sedan that had left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. Former Patriots Wide Receiver Danny Amendola Announces Retirement
Former New England Patriots wide receiver and two-time Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola is retiring despite getting interests from multiple teams, ESPN reports. Amendola, age 36, has spent a total of 13 season in the league and was with the Patriots from 2013 to 2017. Amendola was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams in 2014 and 2016.
