$1M Mass Lottery Winner Rides In Style To Claim His Fortune An Essex County man who won $1 million in the Massachusetts Lottery showed up to collect his prize in a limousine.  Louis Michaud Jr., of Danvers, may have pulled up in a flashy ride, but his intentions for the money are humble. He plans to use some of the cash to pay off his sister's mortgage, lottery officials said. Michaud elected to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 before taxes instead of the annuity.
