Police Seeking Armed, Dangerous Suspect For Double South Shore Homicide

Local and state authorities are looking for a suspect after an older man and woman were found dead at a home on the South Shore.

Police responded to a welfare check at 75 Gotham Hill Drive in Marshfield around 9:19 p.m. on Tuesday, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said. 

Upon arrival, officer found a married couple, later identified as Carl and Vicki Mattson, suffering from multiple stab wounds. The couple, both 70, were pronounced dead at the scene, Cruz said. 

Authorities have since issued a "Be On The Lookout (BOLO)" for an individual believed to be behind the stabbing, known as 27-year-old Christopher Keeley. Cruz said Keeley was acquainted with the Mattsons and therefore this was not a random act of violence. 

Keeley should be considered armed and dangerous might suffer from mental health issues, Cruz added. He is said to have left the house in a black 2019 Jeep Wrangler, bearing Massachusetts plates 7490HT, and could still be somewhere in the Marshfield area. 

Marshfield Police said Keeley also goes by the name "Chrispy" and may have changed his hair color. Keeley he is described as a White male, standing 5'7," and weighing 140 pounds. 

Massachusetts State Police said they located the Jeep later Wednesday afternoon, but it was unoccupied. Anyone who recognizes Keeley is asked to not approach him and call 911 or Marshfield Police at (781) 834-6655.
