Following earlier reports of delays in the morning, the MBTA terminated a train from South Station at Montello Station in Brockton around 8:15 a.m. Subsequent trains were being delayed as well.

While the investigation is in its early stages, an MBTA spokesperson tells Daily Voice that a man was struck after putting himself in front of an incoming train. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, the spokesperson said.

Residual delays were expected and passengers were being told to seek alternative travel options, the MBTA added. Updates on travel can be found here
