Mark Wahlberg talked his followers through his time at a Stop & Shop in Quincy in a post made on Tuesday, April 11, according to his Instagram account.
He started working at the Stop & Shop in 1998 as a grocery bagger, he said. The grocery store is now located at 65 Newport Avenue, but used to be located across the street, the celebrity said in the Instagram video.
"I'm gonna see if I can get my job back," the Massachusetts native said as he headed into the Stop & Shop.
Inside, Whalberg bagged a few groceries, doled out hugs, and chatted with customers and staff.
He made sure to use the opportunity to highlight his own brands of products that are now sold at the establishment, including Whalbergers, hamburger patties made with gourmet and certified angus beef blends.
Whalberg also shouted out his brand of sports drink and tequila while posing for pictures with shoppers.
"We've got to make sure your customers get all the best," he said.
