$1M Lottery Payday: Winthrop Man A Newly Minted Millionaire A Winthrop man collected a $1 million prize playing in the Massachusetts State Lottery. Facundo Cuello collected his seven-figure prize playing the “$10,000,000 Bonanza," a $20 scratch-off ticket. Related: Taunton Man Lands $1 Million Jackpot In Mass. Lottery He chose the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  Cuello said he would be sensible with the money and invest his winnings.  He bought the winning ticket at Energy North, 2 Shirley St., Winthrop. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus.

$500,000 Lottery Ticket Sold In Pembroke Not everybody hates Mondays. One Bay Stater won a $500,000 prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery on Monday, July 8. The winning ticket was a $5 scratch-off game called "Big Blue Bonus Cashword." It was the biggest jackpot collected on Monday in Massachusetts.  The winner's name was not released.  Related: Marshfield Man Lands $1 Million Prize With July Fourth Ticket The ticket was purchased at Energy North at 145 Church St. in Pembroke.
