19-Year-Old Fairfield County Woman Killed, 4 Hospitalized In Overnight Crash
A teenager was killed and four others hospitalized in an overnight single-vehicle crash in Connecticut.
It happened around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in Tolland County in the town of Willington.
A 2007 Subaru Legacy with five occupants, all from the town of Bethel in Fairfield County, was traveling southbound on River Road when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn, according to Connecticut State Police.
One of the passengers, 19-year-old Maria Damata sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead, said police.

CT Man Flees Troopers In Stolen Mustang, Crashes Into Mailboxes, Police Say
A 21-year-old man was charged after police said he fled from troopers in a stolen Ford Mustang and crashed into mailboxes in Connecticut.
At about 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, troopers were investigating a report that a vehicle was stolen at 12:45 a.m. in the Tolland County town of Willington, and while at a home on Ashford Center Road in Ashford, they saw the stolen Ford Mustang driving west, according to Connecticut State Police.
Troopers recognized the driver as Jacob Cormier, of Willington, police said.
The Mustang sped away and troopers lost sight of it, authorities reported.

CT Woman Charged With Negligent Homicide After Striking 3-Year-Old Son With Minivan, Police Say
A Connecticut woman is facing a negligent homicide with a motor vehicle charge after police said she fatally struck her 3-year-old son with a minivan last year.
Jessica Raymond, age 34, from the Tolland County town of Willington, was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4, according to Connecticut State Police.
According to the arrest warrant, at about 5 p.m. on May 3, 2020, a state trooper was waved down by a man screaming for help.
