Fire Destroys Home, Kills Pets: Central Mass Family Asks For Help Rebuilding Their Lives
A Uxbridge woman hopes the public will help her rebuild after her family lost everything in a fire on Monday, May 29. Brianna Watson created a GoFundMe to help replace some of the items lost in the fire, including nearly all of the toys and things that belonged to her three young boys — ages 6, 4, and 1, according to her fundraiser. Wrong-Way Driver From Central Mass Killed In 2-Car Crash On Route 146: Police
A wrong-way driver from central Massachusetts was killed in a two-car crash close to the Rhode Island border, authorities said. The 42-year-old man from Douglas died in the crash that happened on Route 146 in Uxbridge around 10:19 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, Massachusetts State Police said. Initial investigation revealed the man was going the wrong way when he crashed his 2006 Chrysler 300 into a 2019 Mazda CX5 about a half mile from the Rhode Island border. An 18-year-old from Uxbridge was killed in a car crash that happened over the weekend in Upton, authorities said. Jacob Osanya died in the crash that occurred at the intersection of Glenview and Pearl streets after 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, Upton Police said in release. A 73-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman were hospitalized after one was ejected and the other was trapped inside a vehicle from a rollover crash in Central Massachusetts, authorities said. The crash involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV occurred on Route 146 North near exit 6 in Uxbridge at 12:38 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, Massachusetts State Police said. Police are investigating after a man was killed in a fiery wrong-way crash in Massachusetts. Massachusetts State Police said troopers responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Route 146 northbound in the Worcester County town of Uxbridge at about 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4. State Police said the driver of a 2004 Honda Accord was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 35-year-old Jonathan Marmol, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island. This past week, 11 Massachusetts public schools experienced COVID-19 outbreaks of 9 or more students and staff coming down with the virus. The largest outbreak was recorded in Leominster. From March 4-10, 21 of the school district’s students (15) and staff (6) reported positive cases.
