Body Pulled From Chicopee River In Springfield: Police Authorities are investigating after a body was pulled from the Chicopee River in Springfield, according to Springfield Police's Public Information Officer Ryan Walsh. Police responded to a report of a body in the river in the 300 block of Water Street around 11:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, Walsh said on Twitter.  At approximately 11:35 a.m. officers were called to the 300 block of Water St. in Indian Orchard for a report of a body in the nearby water. Body Of Missing Western Mass Man Found In River, Police Say The body of a missing man has been recovered from a river in Western Mass. The discovery took place around 6:45 p.m., Saturday, May 15, when Springfield Police responded to Indian Orchard for a report of a missing adult male, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield PD.  The man's body was located and recovered from the Chicopee River in Springfield, Walsh said. "Detectives will conduct an unattended death investigation," Walsh said. The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death, he added.
