Semi-Pro Football Player Killed In Rollover Crash On I-91 A 22-year-old man who was a star running back for a Connecticut semi-pro football team was killed after crashing his car on I-91 in Hartford County, authorities said.  Davian Andrew Pallotto, of Prospect in New Haven County, died after he rolled his 2007 Cadillac CTS around 11:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, Connecticut State Police said.  Pallotto was driving north on I-91 when he veered across a lane of traffic onto a grassy median, where the car lost control near Exit 23 and began to tumble, authorities said. Griswold Crash Leaves Massachusetts Trucker Dead A 42-year-old Middlesex County, Massachusetts, man died after crashing his truck down an embankment along I-395 in Connecticut. Tim Murray, of Ashby, crashed his Freightliner truck in Griswold, New London County between Exit 24 and 28 around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 Construction had closed the southbound right-hand lane of the highway. As Murray merged into the left lane, his 2019 Freightliner hit a guardrail. Murray corrected the truck but not before striking another section of the guardrail.  The truck tumbled down an embankment. Authorities pronounced Murray dead at the scene.…

56-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Central Mass A 56-year-old New Hampshire man was identified as the victim in a crash on Saturday, June 8, in Worcester, authorities said.  Robert Petterson, of Farmington New Hampshire, crashed his motorcycle after the Harley Davidson came in contact with a 2020 Honda CRV around 1:40 p.m. on I-290 Westbound, Massachusetts State Police said.  Paramedics rushed Petterson to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The SUV driver was uninjured.  Police closed several lanes on I-290 for an hour as they cleaned, cleared, and investigated the crash. No charges have been filed as of…

Northbound lanes on the stretch in Norwalk reopened Saturday evening, May 4. Lanes opened on the southbound side reopened late Sunday morning, May 5, earlier than had been expected. Triple Trouble: Family Gets Combative With Troopers After Wrong-Way Stop In CT, Police Say Three relatives were arrested following a wrong-way traffic stop on a Connecticut highway in which the women allegedly became combative with troopers. The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, on I-84 in Hartford. Connecticut State Police said a trooper was responding to a crash near Exit 46 when they saw a Jeep going westbound in the eastbound lanes.  The Jeep then drove off the roadway into a grassy area before turning around to face east.
