Gun Fired Inside Western Mass High School; Person Attacked: Police (Breaking) Someone fired a gun inside a hallway at the High School of Science and Technology in Springfield on Monday afternoon, March 11, leading to a massive police presence at the school, authorities said. The shot was fired around 2:10 p.m. at the 1250 State Street school. The bullet flew down a hallway and busted out a window, but no one was injured, Springfield police said.  Officers said a student opened a security door to allow the two assailants into the school. Man Charged With DUI While Driving Wrong Direction On CT Highway A Blink alert that a vehicle was driving in the wrong direction on a busy CT highway led to the arrest of a man found in his Nissan Altima stuck in the mud and allegedly driving under the influence. The incident occurred in Hartford County on I-91 northbound around  10:30 p.m., Saturday, March 2, in Windsor near the exit 35 off-ramp. 3 $100K Lottery Tickets Sold At Waltham Convenience Store On Same Day Four lottery tickets worth $100,000 or more were sold in Massachusetts on Monday, Feb. 12.  Easy Convenience at 26 Elm Street in Waltham sold three of those tickets. Man Guilty Of Drunken Crash That Killed 47-Year-Old Springfield Father Of 2: DA A Hampden County jury found a 39-year-old man Springfield man guilty of a 2018 drunken fatal crash, authorities announced.  Misael Sanchez was found guilty of manslaughter while operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol on Friday, Feb. 2, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said.
