A 45-year-old Franklin County man was tracked down by police dogs Friday evening, Sept. 22, after authorities say he dragged a trooper with his car in what began as a routine traffic stop. Michael J. Williams, of Greenfield, was arrested following an hours-long manhunt and faces several felony charges, State police said. Suspected DUI Driver Crashes Into Power Pole, Narrowly Avoids Western Mass Home
A driver had to be cut from their car late Friday night, July 14, after they lost control of the vehicle, glanced off of a tree in someone's front yard before crashing into a power pole in Franklin County, authorities said. Bernardston police were the first to reach the wreckage on Keets Brook Road around 10:30 p.m. and found the mangled car on its side, propped up by the pole, Bernardston police said in a Facebook post. Suspects Nabbed After Armed Robbery, Crashing Into Police Cruisers In Western Mass
Multiple suspects were apprehended in Western Massachusetts following an armed robbery at an AT&T store, police said. The West Springfield Police Department received a report of an armed robbery from the AT&T store on Riverdale Street at 4:52 p.m. on Sunday, June 6. According to police, a patrol officer and narcotics detectives spotted the suspect's vehicle and attempted to conduct a stop, but the vehicle sped off and a pursuit began southbound on Riverdale Street.
