Massachusetts Man Shot, Killed After Making Bomb Threats, Police Say Police in Massachusetts have identified a man who was shot and killed by police after he claimed to have a bomb and threatened officers with an assault rifle. Phet Gouvonvong, age 31, of Worcester, was killed Tuesday, April 20, by a Worcester police officer after making "Furtive movements toward officers," said Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early. Barricaded MA Suspect Throws Yellow Liquid, Attacks Cops With Wrench, Police Say Several police officers in Massachusetts were treated at area hospitals after a wrench-wielding man barricaded himself in his Worcester home and threw a hazarous yellow liquid at them during a standoff, investigators said. Officers from the Worcester Police Department responded to a Canterbury Street home at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Friday, April 2, where there was a report of a man barricaded in a first-floor apartment with knives and a wrench.
