Drunk, high, and armed to the teeth. That's how Massachusetts State Police described a Connecticut woman they arrested Thursday, Oct. 19, after she crashed her car into another vehicle in Hampden County while intoxicated.
Catherine Hansen, 45, of Enfield, Connecticut, faces a slew of charges after police said they found a pistol and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in her wrecked car in Agawam, authorities said.
Hansen is accused of speeding when she crashed into a car just before 1 p.m. at the Agawam Rotary on Route 57, State police said. Several people in the car she hit were injured. …

An armed carjacking suspect and his accomplice have been apprehended following a pursuit across several municipalities in Massachusetts, police said.
The suspect, 35-year-old Nathan Saben of Haverhill, and his accomplice, 40-year-old Jessica Tirone, were both caught after a pursuit in Essex and Middlesex Counties on Thursday, Oct. 5 that began in Lawrence and ended in Dracut, state police announced.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding an armed suspect who allegedly stole a woman's car after fleeing officers in Essex County, police said.
The pursuit began on Tuesday, Oct. 3 just after 10 p.m., when Haverhill Police began pursuing a white Kia on Route 97 westbound toward Salem, New Hampshire, eventually stopping the chase when the vehicle crossed state lines.

Worcester Man, 31, Killed In Fiery Oxford Crash On Route 395
A 31-year-old man was killed Friday night, Sept. 29, after his car veered off the road and crashed into a tree, authorities said.
Shawn Marengo, 31, of Worcester, was driving his Jeeps south on Route 395 in Oxford near Exit 4 around 10 p.m. when he left the roadway, Massachusetts State Police say.
The Jeep slammed into a tree and caught fire. Marengo was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
It's unclear what caused his car to leave the road. State police are investigating the circumstances that led up to the fatal incident.
