$1M Lottery Jackpot: Central Mass Has Newly Minted Millionaire This squeaky wheel is well-greased.  The Squeaky Wheel Trust has claimed a $1 million lottery jackpot. A trust allows the winner to remain anonymous.  Related: East Boston Woman Knows How She'll Spend Her $1 Million Jackpot The winner collected the payout by playing the Massachusetts State Lottery's “Lifetime Millions" game, a $50 scratch-off ticket.  They chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  Honey Farms at 487 Princeton Road in Fitchburg sold the ticket. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Central Mass Man, 31, Shot and Killed In Worcester; 28-Year-Old Charged: Police A 31-year-old man who was shot in Worcester Wednesday morning, Dec. 7, has died, authorities said. Officials charged a 28-year-old Westborough man with his death.  Police responded to a call for medical help just before 8:30 a.m. at 101 Highland St. near Honey Farms and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, Worcester authorities said. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors were not able to save him. Two Residents Of MA County Claim $1 Million State Lottery Prizes Two residents of a Massachusetts county have claimed $1 million state lottery prizes. Worcester County residents Ralph Whitney Jr., of Upton, and Paul Morris, of Leicester, both claimed their lottery prizes in late March, Massachusetts Lottery reported.  Whitney won his prize in the lottery's "The Fastest Road to $1 Million” instant ticket game, the lottery said.
