Jeff Dulude had a quick errand he needed to run on Christmas Eve before he could settle in with his partner, Kat, and two young children —Evan, 7, and Ella, 3 — for the holiday they'd planned together, friends said.
Jeff told Kat he wasn't feeling well, but he needed to finish this last thing. He collapsed before he could leave. Moments later, he was unconscious in the back of an ambulance racing to Baystate Medical Center, where doctors said he'd suffered a brain aneurysm, friends said. They did what they could, but the damage was extensive and irreparable.

Central Massachusetts Man Indicted In Slaying Of Mother Of 2, Wounding Her Mom: DA
A Worcester grand jury this week indicted a Fitchburg man in the shooting death of a 41-year-old mother of two and her mom.
Keith Jones, 32, faces a slew of charges stemming from the July 16 shooting at 629 Cambridge Street, the Worcester District Attorney's Office said.
Felicia Obeng, 41, was sitting on her front porch with her mom, Florence Dansowah, 63, to get some fresh air when they were shot just after 7 p.m. The pair would often sit outside in the afternoons, friends said.

Police Locate Car In Crash That Killed Fairfield County Man
Police have located a car that hit and killed a Connecticut man and then fled the scene.
The crash took place in Litchfield County around 5:11 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 8, in New Milford.
Fairfield County resident Galo Rafael Guaman-Sarmiento, age 61, of Danbury, was crossing Danbury Road when he was struck by a 2013-2016 black Ford Fusion, said the New Milford Police.
The driver, who has not been found, fled the scene, and Guaman-Sarmiento was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police have been searching for the Fusion since the crash and located it on Saturday, Nov. 12, police said.

Donations are pouring in for two children who have lost both their parents from a murder/suicide on Cape Cod this week.
Luiz Castro Jr., age 44, fatally stabbed his wife Aline De Castro, age 38, before hanging himself at their Hyannis home in the early morning hours of Friday, Sept. 2, the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office said.
The incident placed the couple's two sons, Leonardo and Igor, in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. A GoFundMe has since been created to support the boys, ages 7 and 11, as well as cover the cost of Aline's funeral.
