Fatal Crash: 45-Year-Old CT Woman Hit By Vehicle
A 45-year-old Connecticut woman was killed after being hit by a car on a busy roadway.
The crash took place in Hartford County around 9 p.m., Monday, July 17 in the area of 515 Albany Ave., Hartford.
According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police, when officers arrived, they located Marta Llanos, of Hartford, in the roadway, suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Officers began life-saving measures until the arrival of EMS. Llanos was transported to St. Francis Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Boisvert said.

Tornado Watch Issued For Much Of Region, With 60 MPH Wind Gusts, Hail Also Possible
As a slow-moving storm system barrels through the Northeast, a Tornado Watch has now been issued for much of the region until 3 p.m. Sunday, July 16.
It includes parts of southeastern New York -- Long Island, as well as Westchester, and Putnam counties -- as well as all eight counties in Connecticut, and the following counties in Massachusetts: Berkshire, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, and Worcester.

Connecticut Man Dies At Rhode Island Beach, Police Say
A Connecticut man died after his body was found floating in the water at a Rhode Island beach.
Hartford County resident Frank Sievel, age 74, of Farmington, was pulled from the ocean around 12:45 p.m. Friday, July 7 at the Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly, Rhode Island.
According to Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella, lifeguards pulled Sievel, who was unresponsive, from the water and began life-saving measures.
He was transported to the Westerly Hospital and was pronounced dead, the chief said.
