Brandeis University Student Killed, Dozens Injured In Waltham Shuttle Bus Crash
One student from Brandeis University is dead and dozens more are injured following a shuttle bus crash in Waltham over the weekend, authorities said. The bus was carrying 30 students when it crashed into a tree on South Street in Waltham around 10:32 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports. The bus was performing a routine route from the Boston and Cambridge area, with one of the stops being a hockey game at Northeastern University, the office continued. Police in Cambridge arrested four men this week who they say took part in stabbings that left two people seriously injured earlier this month. Officers found evidence of the first attack around 4 a.m. on July 10, in Central Square near the intersection of Mass Avenue and Pleasant Street following a fight, Cambridge Police said. Popular Cambridge Book Store Opening Second Location In Downtown Boston
The Harvard Book Store announced on Monday, July 18, that it plans to open a second location five times larger than its store in Cambridge. Leaders of the iconic bookstore said it would open a 30,000-square-foot space in the Prudential Center in Boston next spring. Two people are in the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a double stabbing in Cambridge, authorities said. The first victim was found near 750 Massachusetts Avenue and the second was found near 5 Western Avenue, both in the vicinity of Central Square, according to Cambridge Police. Fallen Massachusetts Police Officer Remembered As 'True American Hero'
The Somerville Police Department is mourning the loss of Officer Randy Isaacs, who died unexpectedly this week.
