Investigation Underway After Possible Grenade Found Buried In CT Yard Authorities are investigating after a possible grenade was found buried in a yard in Connecticut.  Police in Hartford County responded to a location on Troy Road in South Windsor at about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, April 18, according to the South Windsor Police Department.  A man, who was checking the property with a metal detector, reported that he found what appeared to be a grenade buried about a foot under the grass in the front yard, police said.  Police evacuated the area and closed Troy Road between Rye Street and Brookfield Street.
