Western Mass Man Killed In Ware Crash ID'd Authorities have identified the 21-year-old who died in a Hampshire County crash earlier this week as a 21-year-old Ware man.  Joseph J. Lynch, of Monson, died on Sunday, June 23, after being involved in a crash on Route 9 near Anderson Road just before 6 p.m., the Northwestern District Attorney said. Another person in the vehicle was airlifted to UMass-Worcester with life-threatening injuries. Head-On Collision Sends 2 To Hospital In Western Mass; Woman Airlifted To Trauma Center Two people were rushed to the hospital Tuesday night, Dec. 12, in Franklin County following a head-on collision. One driver had to be cut from her vehicle before paramedics could get her to a doctor.  The crash happened just before 10:45 p.m. on Northfield Road in Bernardston near Purple Meadow Road, Berndardston firefighters said. 13 Massachusetts Maternity Hospitals Among List Of Best In US: Study Expectant parents in Massachusetts can choose where to plan their births with more confidence, thanks to a new study by Newsweek.  Newsweek's study identified the top 384 hospitals for maternity care in the US, and divided the group further into 159 five-ribbon hospitals, and 225 four-ribbon hospitals.
