Beagle Left Nearly Dead On Western Mass Roadside; Police Looking For Truck That Abandoned Her
A beagle nicknamed Bagel was abandoned on a Hampshire County roadside last month, suffering from a battery of severe health problems and covered in feces. Police are now asking for the public's help to find the person who left her there. Bagel was dropped off near a Tractor Supply Company in Belchertown on July 2. The 2-year-old was covered in excrement, had mange, a double ear inflection, cheery eyes, and infections in her paws. She had also had puppies at some point. Police took Bagel to a vet for treatment. 2 Charged With Animal Abuse After Dog Found Starved With Broken Bones In Western Mass
A dog in Franklin County named Conrad was rescued from horrid conditions that left him emaciated, with several broken bones that had healed without being treated, and 20 small rocks in his stomach, the MSPCA said. Rivera, both of Greenfield, were charged with two counts each of felony animal cruelty on Friday, Aug. 18, according to the MSPCA’s Law Enforcement Division. The duo were the owners of Conrad, a 5-year-old pit bull mix. Greenfield police reached out to MSPCA investigators in Jul…

While this won't be an easy task, the MSPCA-Angell and Northeast Animal Shelter are stepping up to do their part. 4,000 beagles were rescued from Envigo, an inhumane breeding facili…

The MSPCA-Angell in Boston is asking the public to help them identify the owner of a five-month old Pit Bull puppy who was found stranded and emaciated last week. PJ was found inside a crate in the area near Mount Hope Cemetery and brought into the MSPCA's medical center around 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, Rob Halpin with the organization said. The puppy was found wearing a blue, gray and yellow collar made by FuzzYard, but did not have any identification tags. PJ was also not microchipped, which makes it nearly impossible to locate his owner, Halpin said. PJ was…
