Ryan Starbird, of Pittsfield, and another man were taken to Berkshire Medical Center just after 2 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, following the shooting, Pittsfield police said.
A 911 call reported a gunshot inside a car at The Berkshire Crossing Parking Lot at 555 Hubbard Avenue, authorities said. The caller said two people were wounded in the shooting.
Police found one shell casing at the scene, and an investigation found that Starbird had pulled the trigger, Pittsfield police said.
Starbird will be taken to court once doctors release him from the hospital. Authorities did not say what the charges against him would be.
